Service Changes Effective Monday, January 6, 2025!

Culver CityBus is committed to improving your commuting experience! On Monday, January 6, Culver CityBus updated service with changes to improve service frequency and reliability on Lines 3, 4, 6, and Rapid 6. This service change will also prepare for the opening of the new LAX/Metro Transit Center in early 2025.

What is Changing?

Line 3

  • No more layovers in Century City: Line 3 will continue through Century City as a loop, ending the long stop at Century Park West/Solar Way.
  • Weekday service to West LA College: No more separate Friday schedule. Every trip on Line 3 will run to West LA College from 7:00AM – 7:00 PM Monday-Friday while West LA College is in session.
  • Reliability improvements: The Line 3 schedule has been adjusted to a more reliable delivery with service every 20-30 minutes on weekdays.

Line 4

  • Weekday service to West LA College: Every trip on Line 4 will run to West LA College from 7 AM - 7 PM, Monday-Friday while the college is in session.

Line 6

  • More frequent service on weekdays: Line 6 service will now run every 15 minutes all day to reduce wait times.
  • Service change near LAX: To prepare for the opening of the LAX/Metro Transit Center, Line 6 will no longer serve stops south of LAX City Bus Center. Transfer to Big Blue Bus 3 and Metro 117 for connections to Metro Rail.

Line 6 Rapid

  • Expanded weekday hours: Line 6R now runs from 5:30AM to 8:00PM, starting one hour earlier and ending one hour later.
  • Increased frequency on weekdays: Buses will arrive every 12-15 minutes throughout the day.
  • Faster service with live updates: Rapid buses no longer have published schedules. This allows buses to run more quickly. Use NextCCBus or another navigation app to see when the next bus is coming.
  • Service change near LAX: To prepare for the opening of the LAX/Metro Transit Center, Line 6R will no longer serve stops south of LAX City Bus Center. Transfer to Big Blue Bus 3 and Metro 117 for onward connections to Metro Rail.
