Culver CityBus is reminding drivers that beginning TODAY, Monday, May 19, 2025, citations will be issued for illegal parking in bus lanes or bus stop zones as part of the Automated Bus Lane Enforcement (ABLE) Program. The 60-day warning period has ended, and violations captured through ABLE’s bus-mounted camera will now result in a $293 fine. Low-income payment plans are available in compliance with California state law. The ABLE Program was launched to improve transit safety, accessibility, and reliability by keeping bus stops and mobility lanes clear for riders, especially those with disabilities. Vehicles blocking these zones prevent buses from pulling to the curb, delay service, and create unsafe conditions for passengers and cyclists. All violations captured through ABLE technology are manually reviewed by Culver City before citations are issued. ABLE Low-income payment plans are available in compliance with California state law. Keeping transit lanes clear helps ensure faster, safer, and more accessible public transportation for all. Thank you for doing your part to keep Culver City moving!
