Service Changes Effective Monday, July 13, 2026! 

Culver CityBus is enhancing transit service to better meet rider needs! Beginning Monday, July 13, 2026, service changes will take effect across all routes to improve connections, increase frequency, and improve overall service for riders.

Service Change Highlights:

  • Increased overall service by 7% to provide more options for riders.
  • Riders can now use contactless payments (tap to pay) to pay for Culver CityBus, Big Blue Bus, and Metro. No sign-ups or virtual wallets required! Works with any contactless credit card, debit card, or mobile payment platform.
  • Transit is now the official app of Culver CityBus. All Culver CityBus riders receive premium Transit Royale benefits at no charge. Get Transit for Android and iOS.

What's Changing?

Line 1

View Updated Schedule

Increased service levels on weekdays and weekends.

  • On weekdays, Line 1 will run every 15 minutes from 6am-11pm.
  • On weekends, Line 1 will run every 18 minutes from 8am-9pm and every 30 minutes otherwise.

Signage update:

  • Destination signs on eastbound buses will now read "Washington/Fairfax" instead of "West LA Transit Center"

Line 2

 
Improved Service for School Commutes:
  • Line 2 will run every 30 minutes from 3pm-5:30pm (currently hourly) to better serve school trips from Venice High School and replace the discontinued segment of Line 5.
  • The extra service will be provided every weekday, even when school is not in session.
  • Riders traveling to Venice High School from Del Rey will now take Line 2 in both the morning and afternoon.

Stop Closure:

  • The northbound stop at Inglewood/Courtleigh will be permanently closed due to low ridership and close spacing of nearby stops.

Line 3

  • Line 3 will now run every 30 minutes in the morning and every 20 minutes in the afternoon. Refer to the schedule for exact departure times.
  • New southbound stop at Palms/Motor to replace the stop that was closed when the line was rerouted in January 2026.

Line 4

Adjusted timing of some afternoon trips to improve reliability.

Signage update:

  • Destination signs on eastbound buses will now read "Washington/Fairfax" instead of "West LA Transit Center".

Line 5

School Service Adjustments: 

  • Line 5 no longer serves Venice High School in the afternoon. Additional service has been provided on Line 2 to create a more consistent experience for riders.
  • Riders traveling to Venice High school from Del Rey will now take Line 2 in both the morning and afternoon.

Line 6/6R

  • Adjusted timing of some trips to improve reliability and reduce overcrowding.

Line 7

  • Line 7 will now operate until 7pm.

Signage update:

  • Destination signs on eastbound buses will now read "Culver City Station" instead of "Robertson Transit Hub".
